Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercit minidon ullamco nostrud enim ad.
If you are thinking of opening a company in Dubai and moving part of your life (or even all) to the Emirates, it is very likely that you will also want to bring your family with you. Whether it's your partner, minor children or adult children, it's possible to include them in your immigration process as long as you meet certain requirements.
Here we explain clearly how to do it as a Spanish citizen.
With your investor visa or Golden Visa, you can apply for a residence visa to:
- Your spouse
- Children under 18
- Children over 18 years old (with conditions)
- Parents (in some cases)
To sponsor your family, you must comply with:
- Have an active visa in the Emirates (business or Golden Visa)
- Prove minimum monthly income (starting from 4,000 AED onwards)
- Have a rental or property contract in UAE
- Submit legalized and translated marriage and birth certificates
- Children under 18: can be included without major additional requirements
- Children over 18: they must be studying or demonstrating economic dependence. The usual age limit for sponsoring them is up to 25 if they are students.
- Start family procedures only when you have your visa approved
- Legalize documents in Spain in good time: it can take several weeks
- Make sure that your medical insurance in Emirates also covers your dependents
- If you are not going to move yet, you can also keep the company active from Spain and manage this later
At Gestoria Ibérica, we help you manage both business and family visas step by step, without complications and with total transparency.
