Dubai continues to consolidate its position as one of the world's great financial and business centers. According to the report “The Rise of Dubai”, presented by MCB Group and other advisory firms, the emirate is already the fourth richest city in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa), sharing the ranking with giants such as London, Paris and Milan.

Home of 86,000 millionaires

Currently, Dubai is home to 86,000 millionaires, together with 251 centimillionaires and 23 billionaires, a figure that reflects the emirate's growing attractiveness for high-net-worth investors. This boom is in response to its favorable regulatory environment, on advanced technological infrastructure and its role as global gateway for business.

An ambitious projection: 2040 as the goal

If current trends continue, experts estimate that for 2040 Dubai could become the richest city in EMEA, with total investable liquid assets that would reach 1.1 trillion dollars. However, many of these large assets prefer to keep part of their assets in international banks, diversifying their risks.

More than Wealth: A Global Lifestyle

Dubai's economic transformation not only attracts capital, but also diverse talent and lifestyles. Professionals, retirees and digital nomads are choosing the emirate as their new home, raising the population to more than four million inhabitants, an all-time record.

In addition, the United Arab Emirates has become the Fastest growing family office hub in the world, with at least 250 offices established since the pandemic, mainly by high-net-worth individuals from Africa, India and Russia.

Dubai, safe haven for investors

“Dubai offers new investment opportunities that don't exist in traditional markets.”

With a booming economy, legal certainty and a vision of the future, Dubai not only strengthens its role as financial and investment center, but it also reinforces its status as safe haven for global investors.
